Grade 4

Welcome to Fourth Grade!

Over the course of the year students will be engaged in many units of study across the main content areas of language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies. Our reading units will focus on characters in fiction, informational reading, reading history, poetry, and mythology. In writing, students will write persuasive, as well as informational and narrative text. Our math units are place value, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, measurement, geometry, and equations. We will be taking a tour of the regions of the United States during social studies, and in science we will explore the topics of motion and design, electricity and magnetism, and ecosystems. We look forward to a fun and exciting year at Chatfield LoPresti School!
